"A little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal."
--Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist, part 2
I'm on Meelias 5 in an ice town known as Sincerity. Due to the planet's gravitational rotation and the psychic energy given off by the serpentine creatures beneath the surface of the water, it is impossible to lie in Sincerity. Literally, you must always tell the truth from the moment you step in the city until the moment you leave. A lot of couples therapies take their groups here, in fact, I came here once with River
But I'm going off on a tangent, as happens with Sincerity-honesty. I'm not really sorry, but I'll say I am because that's polite and there's no reason to be impolite to you in this letter, after all, I never get to chat with you which is entirely my fault and not yours and---
Well, I wish I wasn't writing this to you here. Unfortunately, I'm going to be on Sincerity the next few days while awaiting trial for something I already know I did and I've just got to convince the jury that it wasn't nearly that bad. If all doesn't go well, I wanted to make sure you had at least this letter from me.
PS: If you see River, can you please not tell her about this? I don't want her to worry or me to get into too much trouble.
